Knowledge is Power!

Email is the easiest way to get through your internet defenses. Ready-made kits are for sale on the internet, allowing hackers to steal your information, and sell it, or use it for nefarious activities.

According to the report from 2021 Gone Phishing Tournament (an online phishing exercise that uses real-world simulations to establish true phishing clickthrough benchmarking statistics), during 2-week period in October of 2021 one million (yes, 1,000,000!!!) emails were sent to check how effective phishing is.

And here are the results:
– 1 in 5 participants clicked in the phishing email link (it means that 198,000 people were caught in phishing scam)
– 3 in 20 participants downloaded the document in the phishing simulation webpage (144,000 people were caught)

These numbers give us an idea how effective phishing email scam is. Consider the ease of creating one scam that generated hundreds of thousand responses within such a short time, from just one source. Think of how easy it is to get caught if we don’t know how to recognize an email that is a treat…

Knowing how to recognize bad emails is one of the most powerful tools of protection.
Ask yourself this: Have I ever received an email containing:
• An invoice/payment request that was strange,
• An attachment that required a login to your account to read it,
• Password expiry notification from a stranger,
• A claim there is a problem with your account,
• Offer a coupon for free stuff?

Many of us responds “yes” to one of these questions. That is why on February 9th, 2022, at 2pm (MST) in our free webinar (No Phishing) we will show you how to recognize bad emails, and how you can protect yourself and your business on the internet.

There is still time to register. Hope to see you there!
